1. Tabby cats are striped due to the agouti gene.

2. Smoke (on not agouti) and silver (on tabbies) : is not a colour, but an effect that "gives a silvery look" to all the colors, which are more or less on top. From the root of the hair up to about half the length, the hair is not pigmented.
